4 Modes

Using the balance of the medicine wheel

We operate in four modes: education, engagement, policy, and evaluation. Lead by our mode leads (experts in their respective fields), the various modes work with our partners, and Elders and Natural Helpers (specially trained community members) to respond to community need, and live out our mission while reaching for our vision. 

Education Mode

This mode works closely in connection with all other modes to provide technical assistance and best practices for the FGC to continue supporting those impacted by FASD.

The program aims to reduce substance-exposed pregnancies and support trauma victims through education and community partnerships.

Policy Mode

Our Policy Mode is centered on policy and systems change that positively impact the overall health of the Native community and FASD prevention and treatment.

FGC’s research and evaluation ensure TICM fidelity, outcome tracking, and inclusive, Indigenized evaluations through decolonized practices and equitable data handling.
