The Policy Mode Lead works in and with the community to advocate for upstream changes in policy that impacts the Native community in the Portland metro area.

On-going projects include:

• Developing legislative priorities in collaboration with the other modes
• Supporting community members in accessing civic engagement opportunities 
• Building relationships with legislators and policy makers 
• Outreaching to the families in our communities to learn how we can prioritize their needs
